After I introduced designer Smith Sinrod to makeup company CEO Dexter Phillip, the two decided to team up for her Spring 2012 look book. I was honored to be asked to join Smith and her team for a behind the scenes look at what the designer has in store for the upcoming Spring season.

Inspired by the Amalfi Coast in a time gone by, Smith incorporates vibrant colors and a touch of Mod style to give her Spring 2012 Collection life.

Spring Time in the Amalfi Coast

Smith created her own patterns by taking inspiration from scenes such as the one above. Smith painstakingly painted patterns that hint at tree branches and flowers in bloom.

Model Ashly Sherril has been seen in numerous publications such as Vogue Sposa, Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, Cosmopolitan and has been featured in commercials for American Express and Pepsi. Ashley is also a HUGE bySMITH fan.
